We carry GREEN Eco Friendly to another level.
To us the proof is not in words, it is in actions. There are 3 local recycling centers
in this area that accept "hazardous household chemicals"
for safe disposal or recycling. CapCityEco is a huge part of safe recycling.
They are the City of Austin,
City of Round Rock and
Williamson County Recycle Center (8 miles East of
Georgetown). These centers will accept any old or
unused household chemicals from residents.
The list includes unused paint. Cap City Eco has
negotiated with both City of Round Rock and The
Williamson County Recycling Center to accept and
RECYCLE light latex paint. In the past much of this paint
was mixed with another chemical and
ended up in landfills.

Last year we saved 28,000 thousand pounds (14 tons) of
paint from ending up in landfills. For the year 2009 we
are forecasting almost doubling that amount and have a
goal of 50,000 pounds. That is 25 tons of paint while
reducing many electric bills. That along with the 30%
income tax credit is such a win-win for everybody.
Recycling that much paint is very GREEN but we used
that paint mixed with Radiosity to save our customers
even more money. Treating their homes to
reduce their A/C bills year after year.
